Nice campground. Clean and quiet. Most sites are pretty open without much privacy
Excellent showers and rest rooms. Great trails for hiking. Bring you bug repellent!
The short trek from the campground to the Dinosaur Ridge overlook has been a family tradition of ours for years, easily doable for kids under 10.
Nice, pleasant landscape. Hiked the hiking club trail, somewhat hilly, a little effort needed to climb the hills for this out of shape guy. Still recommend it. Would camp here too. Newer shower and restroom building.
Isolated oak grove camping by the Des Moines River on the plains. Very quiet, clean shower house, welcoming camp ground host. Enjoyed it much!
